Floor Cleaner

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Floor Cleaner to maintain cleanliness and safety across our multiple locations/whole foods market, Rockville, silver spring, Bethesda, chevy chase, few stores in DC. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring floors and related surfaces are spotless, well-maintained, and meet health and safety standards. This role is vital in creating a clean, welcoming environment for employees and visitors alike. Prior janitorial or custodial experience is preferred, especially in commercial or environmental services settings. If you have experience with floor scrubbing machines we will start at $2800/month, if you don't you'll have to start $2600/month, after 3 months you will get a raise to $2800/month, 5 hours a night 9pm - 2am, 6 nights per week.

Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of floors using appropriate methods such as sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming.
• Conduct carpet cleaning and stain removal to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
• Buff and polish hard floors to restore shine and protect surfaces.
• Use specialized equipment for floor care, including buffers and extractors.
• Maintain cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.
• Follow established safety procedures during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.
• Adhere to environmental services standards by using eco-friendly cleaning products when applicable.

Requirements

• Proven experience in janitorial, custodial, or commercial cleaning roles preferred.
• Knowledge of floor care techniques, including buffing, carpet cleaning, and general floor maintenance.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality work.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Good physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and lifting supplies.
• Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment in accordance with health standards.
• Prior experience in environmental services or commercial cleaning is considered a plus.

Pay: From $2,800.00 per month

Work Location: In person
