Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced
AI Lead
to design, develop, and scale the
Brain
component of the RoBX system—the core intelligence that orchestrates all robots and microfactory operations. This role is pivotal in building a robust, adaptive, and autonomous control layer that ensures seamless coordination, optimization, and decision-making across distributed robotic systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Architecture & Strategy
• Define and implement the AI architecture for the Brain system, integrating robotics control, scheduling, and predictive analytics.
• Establish standards for scalability, fault tolerance, and real-time decision-making.
• System Development
• Lead development of algorithms for multi-robot coordination, path planning, and resource allocation in microfactory environments.
• Implement machine learning models for predictive maintenance, workflow optimization, and adaptive learning.
• Integrate
  AI-driven CAD capabilities
  for automated design generation, optimization, and simulation of robotic workflows and factory layouts.
• Integration & Collaboration
• Work closely with robotics engineers, software developers, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration with hardware and factory systems.
• Oversee API and communication protocols between Brain and robotic units.
• Performance & Security
• Ensure high availability, low latency, and secure data handling across all components.
• Develop monitoring and diagnostic tools for system health and performance.
• Leadership & Mentorship
• Build and lead a team of AI engineers and data scientists.
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement in AI-driven automation.

Qualifications

• Education:
  Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, AI, Robotics, or related field.
• Experience:
• 7+ years in AI/ML development, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Proven experience in robotics control systems, multi-agent systems, or industrial automation.
• Technical Skills:
• Expertise in Python, C++, ROS, and real-time systems.
• Strong background in reinforcement learning, computer vision, and distributed systems.
• Proficiency in AI-driven CAD tools and generative design workflows
  (e.g., Autodesk Generative Design, Siemens NX, or similar).
• Familiarity with cloud-based AI deployment and edge computing.
• Soft Skills:
• Strategic thinker with excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with microfactory or Industry 4.0 systems.
• Knowledge of simulation environments (Gazebo, Isaac Sim).
• Background in safety-critical systems and compliance standards.
