Plumbing Assistant- sub contractor 1099

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Plumbing Assistant to support our construction and maintenance teams on various projects. This role offers valuable hands-on experience in plumbing, construction, and mechanical systems within a dynamic work environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in building trades, with a focus on plumbing systems, and possess the motivation to learn and grow professionally.

Duties

• Assist with installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems on construction sites and remodeling projects
• Support pipe threading, pipe fitting, and assembly of plumbing components using hand tools and power tools
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings related to plumbing and HVAC systems
• Help with welding tasks and basic carpentry work as needed for project completion
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment safely and efficiently
• Assist with site preparation, cleanup, and organization of materials to ensure smooth workflow
• Support field service activities including troubleshooting plumbing issues and performing routine maintenance tasks
• Follow safety protocols at all times to maintain a safe working environment

Skills

• Construction site experience with knowledge of construction plumbing, remodeling, and maintenance practices
• Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams related to plumbing
• Mechanical knowledge including pipe threading, welding, and basic math skills for measurements and calculations
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment used in plumbing work
• Experience with carpentry, assembly, or maintenance person tasks is a plus
• Ability to work effectively on construction sites with physical stamina for lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
• Strong attention to detail with good problem-solving skills for troubleshooting issues on-site
• 1099 pay sub contractor
