Position Summary

The Welder supports the Welding Department's daily production goals by performing high-quality welding and fabrication work that meets customer, engineering, and quality specifications. This role requires hands-on experience with MIG and TIG welding on steel, stainless steel, and aluminum products. The ideal candidate demonstrates reliability, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn while working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform MIG and TIG welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum according to blueprints and job specifications.
• Set up and adjust welding machines based on Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS).
• Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to determine welding requirements.
• Inspect welds and finished products for accuracy and quality; report any defects to supervisors.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with company policies and OSHA standards.
• Meet or exceed established productivity and quality targets.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance welding processes and department efficiency.
• Follow Earnest Products' Core Values and safety procedures at all times.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Trade school certificate or 2–3 years of hands-on welding experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
• Working knowledge of MIG and TIG welding processes
• Experience working with steel and stainless steel; aluminum experience preferred
• Ability to read and follow blueprints, work instructions, and verbal directions in English
• Familiarity with fabrication tools including grinders, drills, and measuring instruments
• Reliable attendance, positive attitude, and willingness to learn and grow

Working Conditions

• Clean, air-conditioned manufacturing facility.
• Must wear safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection as required.
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. independently and up to 70 lbs. with assistance.
