Armed Guard

Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and professional Armed Guard to ensure the safety and security of designated premises, personnel, and assets. The ideal candidate will possess strong observational skills, a commitment to safety protocols, and the ability to respond effectively to emergencies. This role is essential in maintaining a secure environment through proactive surveillance, conflict management, and adherence to security procedures.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security cameras (CCTV) and surveillance systems to detect suspicious activity or security breaches.
• Conduct regular patrols of the premises to deter unauthorized access and identify potential hazards.
• Respond promptly and appropriately to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies, including medical incidents requiring first aid or CPR.
• Enforce access control procedures by verifying identification and authorizations of personnel and visitors.
• Manage conflict situations with professionalism, employing conflict management skills to de-escalate tensions.
• Document incidents accurately in reports and communicate effectively with law enforcement or emergency services when necessary.
• Assist in loss prevention efforts by observing for theft or vandalism and implementing preventative measures.
• Maintain a visible presence to deter criminal activity and promote a safe environment for staff and visitors.

Experience

• Prior experience in law enforcement, military service, or security roles is highly desirable.
• Certifications in first aid, CPR, and conflict management are preferred.
• Knowledge of surveillance systems (CCTV) operation and monitoring is advantageous.
• Demonstrated ability to handle high-pressure situations with professionalism and discretion.
• Strong observational skills coupled with excellent communication abilities.
