The Project Manager's primary function is to provide skilled labor, manage subcontractors and clearly communicate w/ clients and team members, ensuring they complete each project safely, on time and on budget. You will track and report the progress of our client's project and update notes and statuses within our CRM throughout the project. You will also provide skilled labor on an as needed basis.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Serve as Authorize Person + Safety Expert for Stinson Services
  • Conduct pre-construction to review project scope and specifications with subcontractors and document any change orders prior to start of project
  • Ensure specifications are followed, perform jobsite inspections, resolve punch items, and complete final walkthroughs.
  • Identify, price (within guardrails), document, and communicate change orders promptly in CRM; escalate exceptions to Production Manager.
  • Build and maintain a detailed job schedule aligned to the master calendar. Coordinate start dates, milestones, inspections, and close-out.
  • Inspect the quality of work performed by subcontractors to ensure it meets Stinson standards
  • Complete takeoffs, order materials, track availability, audit deliveries, and manage returns. Identify alternate suppliers to control COGS.
  • Help coordinate city inspections, dumpster pickups, and material pickups on project sites with Production Coordinator and Administrative staff
  • Help maintain accurate financial reporting on all projects by submitting all job receipts to Admin Manager in a timely manner
  • Select compliant trade partners from the approved bench, schedule trades, manage sequencing, and enforce quality and safety standards.
  • Provide carpentry and roofing labor for a variety of exterior building components on an as needed basis, including shingle/siding sample pulls. Punch list items, repair tickets, and smaller tasks.
  • Perform inspections to identify problems such as leaks or cracks
  • Resolve or report problems when they arise regarding Stinson Services projects
  • Track, report, and update project progress daily through Company Cam and Stinson Services CRM
  • Provide Job daily logs, proactive updates and exceptional service. Resolve routine conflicts and elevate escalations when needed.
  • Ensure and maintain cleanliness and organization of company storage space, storage containers, and company vehicles
  • EEnsure vehicles are regularly serviced
  • Build Stinson Services demo displays on an as needed basis
  • Aid in recruiting and qualifying subcontractors as potential Stinson Services trade partners
  • Maintain exceptionally high standards of customer service as the primary liaison between the company and its customers
  • Mon – Fri 6:00am to 4:00 pm. Under normal conditions a 40-60 hr work week during prime season (April through November). Able to work a minimum of 2 Saturdays per month during prime season.

Required Education and Experience

Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of residential and commercial construction methods, techniques, systems and building codes.
  • Working on steep pitches and heights on a continuous basis
  • Working knowledge of building trades including roofing, siding, & gutters.
  • 5+ years of experience as a carpenter, roofer, siding, gutter or sheet metal installer
  • Hands-on experience in residential or commercial remodeling either as a carpenter, or other tradesperson.
  • Excellent communicator and professional demeanor with high regard for customer service.
  • Detail, process, and systems oriented; organized and uses a time management system; and understands the importance of follow thru & follow-up.
  • A personality and skill set that is scalable – we are looking for someone with promotion and managerial potential as the company grows.
  • Basic computer knowledge and skills
  • Must be willing to be a team player; learn, follow, and enforce company policies and standards; suggest innovations; work alone; embrace new duties and responsibilities; be customer service oriented; and to teach and mentor others.
  • Valid Minnesota Driver's License and clean driving record.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70, $90,000.00 per year
