Air Liquide is looking for a strategic and tactical leader to take the helm of our TGCM operations (Total Gas and Chemical Management) in Lubbock, TX. This is an operational leadership position within the semiconductor ecosystem.
We manage distinct chemicals and gases essential for semiconductor fabrication. We are looking for a TGCM Operations Manager who can ensure safety and quality compliance while managing a team, optimizing logistics, and serving as a commercial partner to our key customer.
Responsibilities
Operations & Logistics Management
Supply Chain: Oversee the receiving, storage, handling, and final delivery of specialty chemical and gas products. Ensure inventory accuracy and material availability to meet aggressive fab production schedules.
Team Leadership: Direct, mentor, and develop a team of 3 operational staff. Manage shift scheduling, performance reviews, and succession planning.
Onsite Presence: On-site presence with modified schedule is required per contract to ensure coverage meets customer requirements, including one weekend ½ day.
Continuous Improvement & 5S: Champion a culture of continuous improvement by actively engaging the workforce in 5S methodology (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain).
General: On time, in spec, delivery of chemicals and/or gases to the customer. Responsible for ensuring training and qualifications of employees in all aspects of the operation, including Safety Training. Establish and maintain a strong relationship with the customer. Update and maintain Standard Operation Procedures and Work Instructions. Evaluate trends in monthly gas and/or chemical usage. Provide information for and initiate proper reporting procedures per on-site policies including, but not limited to: Quality Incident Reports, product acceptance, tank fill, inventory and material usage, safety parameters, and personnel requirements. Responsible for performing investigations and generating 5-Why responses to incidents
Safety, Compliance & Regulatory
Regulatory Liaison: Ensure all operations meet OSHA, EPA, DOT, DEA and local fire code regulations regarding the storage and transport of hazardous materials (HAZMAT) and Dangerous Goods (DG).
Crisis Management: Lead incident response protocols and safety audits. Champion a "Stop Work Authority" culture where safety trumps speed.
Site Compliance: Serve as the primary operational owner of Process Safety Management (PSM) and Risk Management Plan (RMP) requirements.
