We are looking for a
Test Engineer & Center of Excellence Lead
for our customer — AiRISTA.

AiRISTA
is a global leader in delivering state-of-the-art wireless solutions and technologies, driving innovation in indoor location services. The mission is to empower businesses across diverse industries — including healthcare, industrial, government, and education — by optimizing process flows, automating monitoring, and enhancing personnel safety with real-time location data.

They are seeking a motivated Test Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of our RTLS and IoT solutions while leading customer demonstrations in our Center of Excellence (CoE). This dual-role combines hands-on testing with cross-functional collaboration to validate system performance, troubleshoot issues, and showcase our technology to clients and partners.Reporting to the Director of Integrated Product Solutions, the Test Engineer will:Lead testing efforts and establish best practices across the organization.Manage the CoE and coordinate customer demonstrations.Collaborate with R&D, Product Management, and Professional Services.Drive continuous improvement in documentation and deployment processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a deep technical understanding of AiRISTA's software and hardware products. Be capable of deploying, configuring, and troubleshooting them in both controlled test and customer-like environments.
  • Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases for AiRISTA's RTLS hardware and software components.
  • Perform functional, regression, performance, and integration testing across various environments.
  • Collaborate with development and product teams to identify, document, and resolve defects.
  • Automate test processes where applicable to improve efficiency and coverage.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of test results and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Assist Tier 2 and Tier 3 support teams by replicating field scenarios in the COE to troubleshoot complex customer issues and contribute to timely issue resolution.
  • Customer Demonstration Leadership.
  • Ensure demo systems are always operational, up-to-date, and reflective of real-world deployments, including IoT and RTLS integrations.
  • Lead live demonstrations of RTLS and IoT solutions in the Center of Excellence, tailored to customer use cases.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product teams to prepare demo scenarios, including those requiring advanced technical setups.
  • Gather customer feedback during demos and relay insights to product and engineering teams.
  • Act as a technical ambassador, clearly communicating complex concepts (including IoT, networking, and data analytics) to non-technical audiences.

Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in software and hardware testing, preferably in IoT or RTLS environments.
  • Strong understanding of testing methodologies, tools, and automation frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience with IoT protocols (e.g., MQTT), device management, and cloud integration.
  • Advanced proficiency with Wireshark for network protocol analysis and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with SQL databases for RTLS server setup, configuration, data validation, and performance monitoring.
  • Experience with Windows Servers and Virtual Machines (VMs), including deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting in enterprise environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to explain complex technical items clearly.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; comfortable speaking with customers.
  • Experience with location technologies (e.g., Wi-Fi, BLE, UWB).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
  • Experience with networking, routing, firewall configuration, protocol analysis, and live data traffic troubleshooting is highly desirable.
  • Certified Wireless Network Administrator (CWNA), Certified Wireless Security Professional (CWSP), Wireshark Certified Network Analyst (WCNA).

Preferred Requirements & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
