Therapist

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Therapist to join our mental health and behavioral health team. The Therapist will provide comprehensive individual psychological services to patients referred through the workers, compensation system. This role involves conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and delivering evidence-based, short-term solution focused therapies such as cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness. The ideal candidate will have experience working with chronic pain conditions. The Therapist will also be responsible for maintaining accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and contributing to clinical research initiatives when applicable.

Responsibilities

• Conduct diagnostic evaluations and intake assessments utilizing ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT coding, and other relevant medical terminology.
• Develop personalized treatment plans based on patient needs and clinical best practices.
• Provide individual therapy sessions using modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness.
• Manage case documentation accurately within medical records systems while ensuring compliance with HIPAA standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and support services for patients.
• Utilize telehealth platforms to deliver remote counseling sessions when appropriate.
• Participate in ongoing professional development related to specialized areas of mental health care.

Experience

• Proven experience in psychotherapy and health psychology.
• Demonstrated expertise in working with conditions such as depression, anxiety, trauma, and pain disorders.
• Familiarity with medical terminology related to mental health conditions and behavioral health disorders.
• Telehealth experience is preferred; familiarity with ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10) for accurate diagnosis documentation is essential.
