General Manager - Raleigh, NC
Lunova Group is recruiting a results-driven General Manager to oversee our client's Raleigh operations within the elevator industry. The General Manager will own the branch's full P&L, drive profitable revenue growth, and provide strategic oversight across all departments and business lines. As the face of the branch, the General Manager will champion a safety-first culture, promote teamwork and ownership, and lead by example with integrity and professionalism.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Supervises department managers and supervisors by providing direction, training, and clear communication of company policies, procedures, and objectives.
- Leads and models the company's commitment to safety while administering the safety program.
- Ensures daily branch operations run efficiently and cost-effectively, meeting financial commitments including target EBIT and gross margin goals across all business lines.
- Manages the P&L and uses accounting reports to monitor departmental performance and meet monthly budget goals.
- Oversees service contract retention, directly engaging with all "at risk" accounts and leading customer retention initiatives.
- Builds and maintains strong relationships with clients, elevator consultants, building owners, managers, and prospects.
- Ensures timely, consistent execution of the performance review process for union and non-union employees.
- Maintains strong knowledge of the overall market and stays current on all federal, state, and local elevator code requirements, as well as employment and labor laws.
- Maintains deep familiarity with company products through training, equipment updates, and supplier reviews.
- Collaborates with regional and district teams across operations, sales, accounting, safety, and HR; ensures HR matters are aligned with the regional HR team.
- Holds approval authority for purchasing, contract execution, contract modifications, price adjustments, and other required levels of oversight.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Experience in the elevator industry preferred.
- Proven P&L management experience.
- Demonstrated success in managing and developing talent.
- Strong analytical skills, including the ability to identify problems, gather data, interpret findings, and draw sound conclusions.
