Position Summary

The Environmental Services Manager ensures the facility is maintained in compliance with all applicable licensing and accreditation standards while providing leadership and direction to the Housekeeping staff as a member of the Facilities team.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED, bachelor's degree or trade school certifications preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in housekeeping in a commercial or health care setting
  • Proven supervisory experience; including managing staff and coordinating work across multiple locations
  • Working knowledge of cleaning supplies, equipment, and safe handling practices
  • Strong planning, organizational, verbal, written, and listening skills
  • Ability to interact professionally with employees at all levels of the organization
  • Proficiency in navigating common computer applications such as Microsoft Excel and a work ticket program
  • Bilingual or conversational Spanish proficiency a plus
  • Valid Illinois driver's license and ability to meet agency insurance requirements
  • Must have own transportation to travel locally between

Responsibilities:

  1. Work hours prescribed and any additional hours deemed necessary for the responsibilities assigned. Be available on-call by phone for emergency situations. Extended hours outside of regular working hours may be required.
  2. Supervise the Housekeeper staff including orientation, training, regular supervisory meetings and/or feedback, scheduled evaluations and disciplinary interventions as required.
  3. Travel locally among multiple Rockford locations to conduct supervisory duties.
  4. Evaluate cleaning products, equipment and practices, and recommend improvements to enhance safety, efficiency and effectiveness.
  5. Serve as Safety Officer, responsible for implementing and maintaining the agency's safety program.
  6. Perform internal inspections and conduct emergency drills in accordance with established Rosecrance guidelines.
  7. Ensure that the agency's environment is maintained in a safe, clean and sanitary manner consistent with applicable licensing and accreditation standards.
  8. Coordinate and perform routine and emergency building correction and prevention activities.
  9. Coordinate external inspections and inform appropriate staff of required repairs.
  10. Ensure the proper collection and disposal of waste materials.
  11. Monitor the level of supplies used by the housekeeping staff and order as required.
  12. Consult with leadership to develop policies, goals, objectives and procedures for the Housekeeping staff.
  13. Serve as a member of the Environment of Care Committee.
  14. Participate in performance improvement meetings and trainings as designated.
  15. Serve as a member of the Facilities Team and participate in all team meetings and activities.
  16. Understand and comply with all of the principles established by the Rosecrance Corporate Compliance Program and Code of Conduct.
  17. Perform all responsibilities in compliance with the mission, vision, values and expectations of Rosecrance.
  18. Deliver exceptional customer service consistently to every customer.
  19. Serve as a role model for other staff, clients and customers and demonstrate.

Schedule:Monday- Friday 8:30am-5:00pm

  • Shift: 1st

Work Location: Onsite- Rosecrance Griffin Williamson Campus, Rockford, IL

Compensation & Rewards: Based on education, experience, and credentials

  • Starting salary: $72,00 per year
