Job Description:

The Abbey InnSpa is searching for an experienced and talented General Manager with the ability to lead a team of hospitality professionals and create exceptional experience for our guests at the paceful retreat overlooking the Hudson River. The Abbey InnSpa is a historic convent and chapel where our guests experience boutique luxury in our guest rooms, event space or farm-to-table restaurant, Apropos.

This position requires experience in all phases of hotel management, including sales and marketing, human resources, food and beverage, budget/forecast management, rooms, housekeeping and maintenance. The General Manager will join the hotel team in providing our guests with outstanding hospitality and themed destination experiences. This General Manager will be actively involved in the sales and marketing process.

Understand the financial aspects of the business and have effective time management skills.

Possess financial acumen and have the ability to manage an entire financial statement.

Skilled in developing budgets and forecasts.

Able to generate positive cash income from all property assets.

Have a proven experience in effectively controlling operational costs and payroll.

Strong revenue management skills are required..

Have Human Resource management skills.

Focuses on continuous improvement on overall guest experience; have significantly above average guest satisfaction scores.

Extensive background in Food and Beverage and managing an upscale restaurant.

Uses good judgment and has high personal integrity with unquestionable ethical and moral standards.

Must be able to develop destination sales and marketing strategies that are innovative and creative, as well as possess knowledge of how to pre-sell properties that are under development.

Must be savvy in internet marketing strategies and social media.

Thinks long term as it relates to the market, economy and competition.

Possess an entrepreneurial attitude and work ethic coupled with an exceptional aptitude for strategic thinking and planning.

Understands the applicable operational departments of the hotel.

Salary Range:

Based on experience up to $170,000.00
