General Dentist – Pediatric Office | Bakersfield, CA

Full-Time or Part-Time Opportunity

A well-established pediatric-focused dental office in Bakersfield, CA is seeking a friendly, patient-centered General Dentist to join our growing team. This position is open to both full-time and part-time candidates, and new graduates with an interest in pediatrics are encouraged to apply.

About the Opportunity:

Join a supportive, family-friendly pediatric practice committed to providing gentle, high-quality care to children of all ages. Our ideal candidate is open to working in a pediatric environment—previous experience with children is a plus, but not required. You will be supported by a rotating team of assistants, ensuring you always have help chairside.

Compensation Structure:

• Daily Base: $800–$900/day to start (flexible depending on experience).
• Compensation Model: Begin on a daily base, then transition to percentage of production after an initial period.

Insurance & Payor Mix:

• Majority Medi-Cal (state insurance).
• Some PPO accepted.
• No HMO.

Schedule:

Open to Full-Time or Part-Time.

• Full-Time: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM.
• (Hours may shift slightly later in the future).
• Part-Time: Flexible, ideally Monday–Tuesday or Thursday–Friday (same hours).

Clinical Scope:

The doctor will focus on pediatric general dentistry. The following procedures are referred out:

• Implants.
• Periodontics.
• Oral Surgery.
• Endodontics.
• Orthodontics.

Office Information:

• Team: 6 team members currently (actively hiring additional staff).
• Assistants: Rotating assistants—doctor will never work without support.
• Operatories:
• 4 treatment rooms.
• 6 open-bay hygiene chairs.
• Technology: Open Dental EHR; limited specialty equipment due to the nature of pediatric care.
