The inventory Analyst is responsible for maintaining a high level of inventory accuracy and integrity. They will investigate any variances in inventory to establish Root Cause Analysis.

Essential Functions

Required but not limited to:

  • Monitors and control inventory integrity and identifies root cause for any variance.
  • Maintain product identification and location program.
  • Responsible for completing physical inventories, cycle counts, random or receipt audits and reconciliations.
  • Research, track and report inventory discrepancies through appropriate documentation to Production Control in a timely manner.
  • Uses lift or fork truck (including Drexel when needed) to access parts stored in warehouse.
  • Verifies correct part number is on tags on baskets.
  • Performs required PMs as scheduled.
  • Compile and distribute changeover list to appropriate departments 3 days before scheduled changeover.
  • Perform finished good inventory when requested.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Work Environment

  1. Subject to hot temperatures.

  2. May be subject to loud working environment.

  3. Works at heights on lift, with a platform height of approximately 20 feet.

  4. Work performed in a combination of shop and office environment

  5. May be required to rotate in to jobs to cover staff as needed.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  1. Must successfully complete Industrial Power Vehicle training and certification, including hearing and/or vision testing, and possess valid driver's license.

  2. Measuring and Mathematical Skills

a. Accurately add, subtracts, multiplies, and divides.

b. Able to verify parts using work instructions or blueprints.

  1. Language Skills (Speaking and Writing)

a. Effectively communicates with coworkers and supervisors.

b. Writes, counts and identification numbers clearly and legibly on tags.

c. Maintains a professional manner at all times due to contact with outside vendors.

  1. Basic Reasoning Skills

a. Applies common sense when following written and oral instructions.

b. Reads, interprets, and acts on written instruction.

c. Strong Analytical skills.

  1. Physical Requirements and Manual Dexterity

a. Steps up and down to get in and out of lift or fork truck.

b. May sit throughout shift, or stand throughout shift depending on equipment operated, and regularly walks to and from lift or fork truck.

c. Operates lift truck controls and steering using feet and hands.

d. Excellent sense of balance to work at heights on lift, with a platform height of approximately 20 feet.

e. Frequently rotates upper body, head and neck to look behind truck when operating in reverse.

f. Occasional bending, lifting, carrying; may be required to lift up to 50 pounds on an intermittent basis

  1. Computer Skills

a. Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office, and knowledge in MTMS and Web client.

b. Able to interpret routing plans for individual parts as well as finished goods.

  1. Manufacturing and Technical Skills

a. Knowledge in regards to Lean Manufacturing processes, Inventory Control and Material Management Systems.

b. Familiarity with production plans and material deployment to production lines as well as warehouse management and inventory accuracy.

c. Demonstrated capability to conduct Root Cause Analysis

d. Demonstrated capability of 8 Step Problem Solving

  1. Organizational Skills

a. Ability to multitask and manage own time efficiently.

b. Ability to work autonomously.
