Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Manager / Estimator to join our construction team. This role involves overseeing project planning, estimating costs, and coordinating various phases of construction projects to ensure timely and successful completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in the heavy civil sector, project scheduling, and estimating software, with a solid understanding of site operations and blueprint reading. This position utilizes advanced tools such as ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, and HeavyBid.

Duties

  • Develop accurate project estimates by analyzing blueprints, schematics, and contract documents using construction estimating tools.
  • Prepare detailed project proposals and budgets aligned with client requirements and project scope.
  • Manage project schedules using Primavera P6 and other construction management software to ensure milestones are met.
  • Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to facilitate smooth project execution.
  • Oversee the preparation of contracts and ensure compliance with all contractual obligations.
  • Monitor project progress through regular site visits and meetings, ensuring adherence to safety standards and quality specifications.
  • Utilize Bluebeam for document review, markup, and collaboration across project teams.
  • Track project costs and change orders to maintain budget control using HeavyBid or similar software.
  • Lead project meetings to communicate progress, challenges, and solutions effectively.
  • Ensure timely procurement of materials and equipment necessary for project execution.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for all phases of projects for reporting and future reference.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in construction estimating, project management, or construction site supervision.
  • Proficiency in construction management software such as ProCore, Primavera P6, Bluebeam, HeavyBid, or equivalent tools.
  • Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, contracts, and construction drawings.
  • Familiarity with construction site safety protocols and quality standards.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Effective communication skills for coordinating teams and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and blueprints accurately.
  • Experience with project scheduling tools and techniques to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field preferred; relevant work experience considered in lieu of formal education.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $58,306.46 per year
