Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled HVAC Technician/Installer to join our team and deliver exceptional climate control solutions to our clients. This energetic role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), refrigeration, and related mechanical systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in construction, service technician experience, and mechanical knowledge, ensuring efficient system setup and ongoing support. This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilize technical expertise, and contribute to creating comfortable indoor environments for residential and commercial properties.
Duties
- Install HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ammonia refrigeration systems, following schematics and HVAC design plans.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC/R equipment to ensure optimal operation and energy efficiency.
- Read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and mechanical drawings for proper installation procedures.
- Conduct field service visits for troubleshooting, diagnosing issues with HVAC systems, plumbing, appliances, and property maintenance needs.
- Use diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters to test electrical components and ensure proper functioning of equipment.
- Braze or perform mechanical repairs on equipment when necessary, maintaining high safety standards throughout all tasks.
- Operate a driver vehicle safely while transporting tools or equipment to job sites.
- Collaborate with team members on HVAC design modifications or upgrades tailored to client specifications.
- Maintain detailed records of service activities, repairs performed, and system configurations for future reference.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction-related roles or as a service technician within the HVAC or refrigeration industry.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in schematics, HVAC design principles, plumbing, refrigeration systems, and appliance repair.
- Hands-on experience with HVAC/R systems installation and maintenance; knowledge of ammonia refrigeration preferred.
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately; experience with electrical testing using tools like ohmmeters is essential.
- Mechanical skills, including welding, boiler maintenance, equipment repair, and property upkeep, are highly desirable.
- Field service experience demonstrating the ability to troubleshoot effectively in diverse environments.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; driver certification is a plus.
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to HVAC/R work environments; ability to work at heights or in confined spaces when required.
