Server/Cashier

Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Server/Cashier to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional customer service, handle transactions accurately, and contribute to a welcoming atmosphere. Experience in food preparation, POS systems, and food safety is preferred but not required. This role offers an opportunity to develop skills in the food industry while providing excellent service to our guests.

Responsibilities

• Take customer orders accurately and efficiently using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems
• Handle cash, credit card transactions, and process payments with precision
• Prepare and serve food items according to established standards, including basic food preparation and food handling
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, including bussing tables and cleaning utensils
• Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities
• Ensure adherence to food safety regulations and sanitation standards
• Assist with food delivery from kitchen to dining area as needed
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving issues promptly
• Support team members during busy periods by performing duties such as serving, cashiering, or light kitchen tasks

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service, quick service, or retail environments is a plus but not mandatory
• Knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and retail math tasks
• Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting
• Food safety certification or willingness to obtain certification preferred
• Experience with food preparation, serving, bussing, or kitchen operations is beneficial
• Excellent communication skills and teamwork orientation
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting light loads and cleaning
