Job Overview
Biryani Grill is hiring friendly and professional Servers to deliver excellent guest service in a fast-paced, full-service restaurant, ensuring a welcoming dining experience through attentive service, accurate order handling, and a strong focus on guest satisfaction. Experience with various POS systems and food handling procedures is preferred, along with a passion for hospitality and food industry standards. This role offers an opportunity to develop your skills in customer service, food presentation, and restaurant operations within a fine dining or casual setting.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly and provide friendly, attentive table service
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS system
• Deliver food and beverages in a timely and professional manner
• Ensure guest satisfaction throughout the dining experience and address concerns promptly
• Properly check IDs before serving alcoholic beverages and follow responsible alcohol service guidelines
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of tables, service stations, and dining areas
• Practice suggestive selling to upsell food and beverage options when appropriate
• Process guest payments accurately and handle cash responsibly
• Work closely with bartenders, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth service
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards at all times

Qualifications

• Previous serving experience in a full-service restaurant preferred
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Knowledge of food, beverages, and menu items
• Understanding of responsible alcohol service practices
• TIPS certification required or ability to obtain upon hire
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

Skills

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, including fine dining or nightclub settings
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Square POS, Toast POS, or OpenTable for order entry and processing
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests effectively
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
• Upselling techniques to promote menu items and increase sales opportunities
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
• Basic math skills for billing, cash handling, and transaction accuracy
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism
• Previous experience in serving, bussing, or host/host roles is advantageous
• Hospitality mindset with a focus on guest relations and creating positive dining experiences
