Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of machinery to produce high-quality components and products efficiently. Your expertise in mechanical systems, precision measurement, and manufacturing processes will ensure that production runs smoothly, safely, and to the highest standards. Duties
- Set up, operate, and monitor various manufacturing machines including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, flexo presses, and press brake machines to produce precision parts.
- Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) such as Fanuc systems to automate machine functions and improve efficiency.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD (Computer-Aided Design) models to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery to minimize downtime and optimize performance.
- Use precision measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, and other quality control tools to verify dimensions and ensure parts meet specifications.
- Handle materials safely within the warehouse or factory setting, including materials handling equipment like forklifts.
- Collaborate with team members on assembly line tasks, fabrication projects, or packaging operations to meet production goals.
- Maintain detailed records of production activities, machine settings, and quality checks for compliance and continuous improvement.
Experience
- Proven factory or manufacturing experience with hands-on machine operation in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of machining processes including CNC programming (G-code), CAM programming, and tooling setup.
- Familiarity with operating CNC machines such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, and other automated equipment.
- Experience reading blueprints and technical drawings accurately using GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
- Ability to use hand tools and basic math skills for measurements and adjustments.
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to machining equipment like press brakes or welding stations.
- Warehouse experience including materials handling with forklifts is a plus.
- Basic understanding of SolidWorks or CAD software for interpreting design files is advantageous. Pay: $ $27.22 per hour
