We need reliable individuals to accurately retrieve items from our warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. As an Order Picker, you will be crucial to our fulfillment process, ensuring accuracy and speed. This role involves navigating our warehouse efficiently, using scanning technology, and preparing orders for the next stage of the logistics process. We prioritize safety, accuracy, and teamwork. Responsibilities:
- Accurately locate and pick items from warehouse stock according to order specifications.
- Verify product codes, descriptions, and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Transport picked items to designated staging or packing areas using appropriate equipment.
- Operate handheld scanners and warehouse management system (WMS) to track inventory and order progress.
- Maintain high levels of productivity and meet picking performance targets.
- Keep picking areas clean, organized, and safe, removing any obstructions.
- Follow all warehouse safety guidelines, including proper lifting techniques and body mechanics.
- Wear all mandated PPE, such as safety shoes and high-visibility vests, while on duty.
- Report any inventory discrepancies, damages, or potential hazards to supervisors promptly.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks and support the logistics team as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in order picking, warehouse operations, or a related logistics field is a strong advantage.
- Ability to read and understand pick lists and order instructions.
- Proficiency with scanning devices and WMS is desirable.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and move for extended periods and perform frequent bending and reaching.
- Capability of lifting up to 40 lbs regularly.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or collaboratively.
- Understanding of safe warehouse practices and logistics workflow.
- Commitment to adhering to all safety regulations and PPE requirements.
