We are hiring a Picker/Packer to join our bustling warehouse in Detroit, Michigan. In this fast-paced role, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently selecting items from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders, and then carefully packing them for shipment. Your precision and speed are key to ensuring our customers receive the correct items in perfect condition and in a timely manner. This position is a cornerstone of our logistics operations. The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining a safe work environment. We provide all necessary training and necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves based on order sheets or scanner.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Pack orders using appropriate materials to ensure safe transit.
- Label packages correctly for shipment.
- Operate scanning equipment to track inventory movement.
- Maintain a clean and organized work station and surrounding area.
- Assist with restocking and organizing inventory.
- Follow all company safety rules and procedures, including the use of required PPE.
- Load finished packages onto outgoing shipments as needed.
- Meet established picking and packing productivity standards.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a picker/packer or in a warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring physical exertion, including Lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Attention to detail and accuracy are crucial.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and safety guidelines.
- Familiarity with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
