You will be responsible for the physical handling of incoming and outgoing shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders and shipping manifests, and preparing goods for dispatch. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders.
- Inspect goods for damage and ensure accurate quantities.
- Prepare and stage outgoing shipments, ensuring proper packaging and labeling.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving and shipping area.
- Update inventory records in the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of appropriate PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Coordinate with carriers and delivery personnel.
- Communicate any discrepancies or issues to management promptly.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety procedures and the use of PPE.
- Basic computer skills and experience with WMS software is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Willingness to work flexible hours if needed.
