Join our team in Boise, Idaho, as a Material Handler and play a critical role in the movement and organization of goods within our warehouse. This position is essential for maintaining the efficiency and accuracy of our logistics operations. You will be responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing materials, operating various types of equipment, and ensuring a safe and organized workspace. We are looking for individuals who are physically fit, detail-oriented, and have a strong understanding of safety procedures. A commitment to adhering to all safety regulations, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is essential. This role requires regular lifting and the ability to maneuver materials effectively in a busy environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and other vehicles.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
- Receive and inspect incoming materials for damage or discrepancies.
- Stock materials in appropriate locations, ensuring proper inventory management.
- Prepare materials for shipment, including staging and packaging.
- Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe warehouse environment.
- Participate in inventory control activities, such as cycle counting.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Assist with other warehouse operations as needed.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience as a material handler or in a similar warehouse role is beneficial. Ability to perform heavy lifting, up to 60 lbs, regularly. Forklift or other relevant equipment certification is a plus. Strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols and the importance of PPE. Good organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced logistics setting.
