We are hiring a Receiving Clerk for our San Jose, California warehouse. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming goods, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the receiving process. Your responsibilities will include unloading shipments, verifying product counts against purchase orders, inspecting for damages, and accurately entering data into our inventory system. This position is critical to maintaining accurate inventory levels and supporting our overall logistics flow. We emphasize a strong commitment to workplace safety ; adherence to all safety regulations and the correct use of PPE is mandatory. The role requires attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to handle moderate Lifting . Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments from vendors and carriers.
- Verify quantities and descriptions of received goods against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect incoming products for damage and report discrepancies.
- Accurately record all received items into the inventory management system.
- Organize and stage received goods for further processing or put-away.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Adhere to all company policies, including the mandatory use of PPE .
- Communicate effectively with internal departments and external vendors regarding shipments.
- Perform tasks that may involve regular Lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
- Contribute to the efficiency and accuracy of our logistics operations.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in warehouse receiving, inventory control, or related fields.
- Proficiency in data entry and basic computer skills.
- Ability to read and interpret purchase orders and packing slips.
- Physical capability to perform manual Lifting and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the correct use of PPE .
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with logistics and inventory systems is a plus.
