What You'll Be Contributing:
The Director, Client Services is a senior leader responsible for overseeing client relationship strategy, service delivery excellence, and the overall satisfaction and retention of customers within the Construction business unit.
This role leads customer engagement initiatives, enhances operational alignment between client needs and internal teams, and drives business growth through strategic account oversight. The Director acts as a trusted advisor to customers, ensures consistent service standards, and supports the division's revenue and operational objectives.
Core Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Management
- Provide day‑to‑day leadership, coaching, and performance management for the Account Manager to ensure high‑quality client service delivery;
- Establish team goals, KPIs, and processes to improve client experience and operational efficiency;
- Foster a culture of proactive communication, accountability, and continuous improvement within the client services function.
Client Relationship & Strategic Account Oversight
- Serve as an executive point of escalation for key clients, ensuring timely issue resolution and long‑term relationship health;
- Oversee major strategic accounts, ensuring alignment between customer expectations and organizational capabilities;
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customer executive stakeholders to reinforce trust and partnership.
Service Delivery & Operational Coordination
- Collaborate with construction operations, project management, supply chain, sales, and engineering teams to ensure seamless execution of client projects;
- Review project status, service levels, and customer feedback to optimize service delivery;
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to communication, service quality, and client engagement workflows.
Business Growth & Commercial Support
- Identify opportunities for upselling, cross‑selling, and expanding Hypertec's portfolio within existing accounts;
- Support the President in strategic negotiations, proposal development, and account planning;
- Analyze client trends, market demands, and competitive intelligence to provide strategic recommendations.
Governance, Reporting & Strategic Planning
- Develop client service strategies, annual plans, and performance dashboards for executive review;
- Establish and maintain standards, policies, and best practices related to customer engagement and service delivery;
- Participate in leadership meetings and contribute to the strategic direction of the Construction division.
What Sets You Apart:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in client services, account management, or operational leadership within construction, infrastructure, or related technical industries;
- Experience leading teams and managing high‑value strategic accounts;
- Strong ability to understand construction lifecycles, technical specifications, and project workflows;
- Exceptional leadership, relationship management, and negotiation skills;
- Proven ability to analyze issues, develop solutions, and manage complex client situations;
- Strong business acumen with experience supporting commercial strategy and revenue growth;
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), with experience presenting to executive‑level stakeholders;
- Proficiency with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Dynamics, SAP) and reporting tools.
- An essential component of this position is business travel, mainly to the United States. It is a requirement of this position that the candidate satisfy the applicable criteria set by the US Immigration and Nationality Act for business travel to the United States, which criteria include, for example, the ability to demonstrate that they are a citizen or national of a country that is eligible for the Visa Waiver Program or are otherwise visa exempt.
