As a Senior Network Engineer at GRAIL, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud and hybrid network infrastructure. Your expertise will help us build secure, scalable, and highly available network solutions primarily in AWS, focusing on Amazon VPC, while also managing critical on-premise networking. Key responsibilities will include: AWS and Hybrid Cloud Engineering:
Design, build, and manage Amazon VPCs, establish secure connectivity, and implement hybrid connectivity solutions. Traffic Management & DNS:
Configure and manage routing policies and load balancing to ensure application availability and performance. On-Prem & Data Center Networking:
Operate networks using Juniper and Aruba platforms, ensuring robust performance and security. Monitoring, Logging & Dashboards:
Create comprehensive monitoring solutions to maintain network health and performance. Capacity Planning & Incident Response:
Forecast network growth, analyze traffic patterns, and lead incident resolution efforts. Architectural Leadership:
Own the end-to-end network architecture, ensuring it meets scalability and security requirements. Automation & Governance:
Implement infrastructure-as-code and ensure compliance with network standards and policies. Collaboration & Mentorship:
Provide guidance and mentorship to teams and stakeholders, fostering a culture of learning. Required qualifications include: 10+ years of network engineering experience, with a focus on AWS. Strong familiarity with AWS networking, VPC design, security configurations, and enterprise networking. Proven ability to establish monitoring and capacity planning strategies. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration across teams. Preferred qualifications: Experience in healthcare or regulated environments. Certifications such as AWS Certified Advanced Networking - Specialty or relevant Cisco certifications. This position is hybrid, based in our offices located in Menlo Park, CA (moving to Sunnyvale, CA in Fall 2026) or Durham, NC. Our current flexible work policy requires a minimum of 60% of the total work week to be on-site.
