Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Dishwasher to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen environment. This position is essential in supporting our food service operations, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized to meet health and safety standards.

Duties

• Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using dishwashers or by hand.
• Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by sweeping and mopping floors regularly.
• Assist in food preparation as needed, including helping cooks with basic culinary tasks.
• Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use.
• Support banquet and catering events by preparing necessary items for service.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods.
• Follow all food safety guidelines and maintain proper food handling practices.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the kitchen manager promptly.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a food service or kitchen environment is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of food handling and sanitation practices is a plus.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong teamwork skills with a willingness to help others in the kitchen as needed.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends if required.
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy items when necessary.
