We are seeking an experienced Mid-Level Low Voltage Technician to join our field operations team. This role is ideal for a technician who can work independently on job sites, handle structured cabling and low voltage system installations, and support commercial and military base projects. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working directly with customers and project managers.

Responsibilities

  • Install, terminate, label, and test structured cabling systems (Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A, fiber)
  • Perform inside plant cabling work; outside plant and fiber experience a plus
  • Install and dress network racks, patch panels, and cable management systems
  • Install and support low voltage systems including:
  • Access control
  • Video surveillance
  • Network infrastructure
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and scope-of-work documents
  • Test and certify cabling using industry-standard testing equipment
  • Troubleshoot cabling and system issues and recommend corrective actions
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and professional job site
  • Communicate effectively with project managers, supervisors, and customers
  • Complete job documentation, labeling, and close-out reports accurately

Required Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience as a Low Voltage Technician or similar role
  • Strong experience with structured cabling (copper and basic fiber)
  • Ability to terminate RJ45 connectors, keystone jacks, patch panels, and fiber
  • Experience working in commercial environments
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to pass background check and drug screening

Preferred Qualifications

  • Fiber optic termination and testing experience
  • Experience with access control and video surveillance systems
  • Manufacturer or industry certifications (manufacturer-certified cabling, etc.)
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
  • Experience on military base projects

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to work on ladders, lifts, and in ceiling spaces
  • Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and work with hands for extended periods

Work authorization:

  • United States (Required)
  • Must have Valid Driver License and clean driving record to operate company vehicle.
  • Must be able to pass drug test and have clean criminal background to access military bases and CJIS/DPS Criminal Background checks for Private Security license and CJIS Certifications.
