Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

The Nurse Practitioner will assume responsibility for the following: behavioral health evaluation, assessment, and psycho-pharmacologic management of clients to assist the client in attaining maximum wellness.

Comfortable with diagnosing and treating clients with ADHD, MDD, GAD, OCD, Insomnia, Bipolar, and other mental health disorders.

The Nurse Practitioner will work within a multidisciplinary team to provide services to in an outpatient mental health setting and must be dedicated and committed to advocating for the mentally ill.

Our clinic has created a plan and established an atmosphere to practice primary mental healthcare.

This is not an ideal role for a new graduate.

Candidate must be willing to work a minimum of 20 hours a week from Tuesday - Friday or Monday-Thursday.

Candidate must be willing to see patients aged yo.

Technology: EMR & robust telehealth platforms make it easier to see patients virtually.

Education and Experience:

• Current active and unrestricted license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in Texas (Required)
• Current and active unrestricted DEA Number (Required)
• Proficient in charting
• Proficient in writing prescriptions
• 2 Years of psychiatric experience working with adults required
• Medical expertise consistent with advanced practice nursing
• Competency in mental health diagnosis and treatment
• Able to work independently as well as within the multidisciplinary team
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• Computer literacy required and experience utilizing an electronic health record preferred
• Candidate must pass criminal background check and credentialing review

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $ $120.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
