Pizzeria Delivery Driver

Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Pizzeria Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering hot, fresh pizzas and other menu items to customers promptly and safely. This role requires excellent driving skills, a friendly attitude, and the ability to handle heavy lifting and moving tasks. Prior delivery driver experience, especially with route driving and commercial vehicles such as box trucks or courier vans, is highly valued. The position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment while providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate delivery vehicles, including box trucks or courier vans, following all traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Deliver orders accurately and efficiently to customers' locations within designated routes.
• Load and unload food items, ensuring proper handling to maintain quality and presentation.
• Assist with heavy lifting and moving of supplies or equipment as needed, including using forklifts or pallet jacks if certified.
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle, performing routine inspections and reporting any maintenance issues.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers professionally, answering questions, and ensuring satisfaction during deliveries.
• Follow assigned routes to optimize delivery times while adhering to safety protocols.
• Complete delivery paperwork accurately and report any issues encountered during deliveries.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; commercial driving experience is preferred.
• Prior delivery driver experience, especially route driving in urban or suburban areas.
• Ability to operate various vehicles including box trucks or courier vans with manual transmission if applicable.
• Experience with warehouse equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks is a plus but not mandatory.
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional attitude.
• Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds) repeatedly during shifts and perform moving tasks as required.
• Excellent driving skills with knowledge of safe driving practices and navigation skills.
• Reliable transportation with the ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if needed.
