We are looking for a motivated Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our bustling warehouse in Omaha, Nebraska. This role is central to our supply chain, ensuring that all incoming and outgoing shipments are processed accurately and efficiently. You will be the first point of contact for many goods entering and leaving our facility, playing a vital role in our logistics network. Your responsibilities will include verifying shipments, managing inventory records, and coordinating with carriers to ensure timely deliveries. A strong emphasis will be placed on safety, accuracy, and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for damage and discrepancies.
- Verify packing slips against purchase orders.
- Sort and store incoming goods in designated warehouse locations.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, including picking, packing, labeling, and staging.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment safely.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using the warehouse management system.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers to schedule pickups and track shipments.
- Ensure all activities comply with safety regulations and proper PPE usage.
- Assist with general warehouse duties, including maintaining cleanliness and organization.
- This position requires regular physical activity, including lifting up to 40 lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations is advantageous.
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Familiarity with logistics procedures and documentation.
- Demonstrated ability to perform accurate inventory counts.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to perform consistent lifting and stand for prolonged periods.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and the correct use of PPE is essential.
