We are looking for a detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our team in Portland, Oregon. This role is crucial for the timely and accurate dispatch of our products, ensuring customer satisfaction and the smooth running of our logistics operations. You will be responsible for preparing shipments, verifying contents, and coordinating with carriers. Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming goods and verify against shipping documents.
- Pick, pack, and label products for shipment according to specifications.
- Prepare all necessary shipping documentation, including bills of lading and shipping labels.
- Schedule and coordinate pickups with various shipping carriers.
- Track outgoing shipments and communicate any delays or issues.
- Maintain an organized and clean shipping area.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with stocktaking as needed.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely, such as pallet jacks.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless logistics flow.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or a related logistics role is a plus. Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds. Must be comfortable working in a warehouse environment. Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. Team-oriented and able to work effectively under pressure. Commitment to safety and compliance. Must be legally authorized to work in the US and pass a background check.
