Our Portland, Oregon facility is looking for a diligent Material Handler to support our warehouse operations. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for moving, organizing, and preparing materials for shipment. This role is crucial for maintaining the smooth flow of goods and requires physical stamina and attention to detail. You'll be working with a team dedicated to **safety** and efficiency in all **logistics** processes. Adherence to **PPE** requirements is mandatory to ensure a safe working environment. The ability to handle **lifting** of materials consistently is a key aspect of this job.
Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and other vehicles.
- Move materials to and from storage areas using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment.
- Organize and arrange inventory within the warehouse.
- Assist with inventory counts and stocktaking.
- Ensure materials are properly labeled and stored.
- Follow **safety** guidelines and wear appropriate **PPE** at all times.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to **lifting** guidelines.
- Prepare materials for shipment, including packaging and staging.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Support other warehouse functions as needed, contributing to overall **logistics** efficiency.
