We are seeking a skilled Material Handler for our San Jose, California operations. This role is essential for the efficient movement of materials throughout our facility, supporting our complex logistics and production processes. You will be responsible for operating various types of material handling equipment, loading and unloading trucks, stocking materials, and ensuring the organized flow of goods. A strong focus on safety is paramount, and all employees are required to follow strict safety protocols and use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The ideal candidate possesses experience with material handling equipment, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Stock and organize materials in appropriate locations.
- Verify incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
- Maintain equipment in good working condition and report any issues.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to achieve operational goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a material handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Valid forklift certification is required.
- Proven ability to operate various types of material handling equipment.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety practices and the importance of PPE.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Experience with inventory control or warehouse management systems is a plus.
