Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against shipping documents.
- Sort, label, and stock materials in designated warehouse locations.
- Retrieve materials for production or shipment orders accurately and efficiently.
- Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and dollies, as trained and certified.
- Maintain inventory records and assist with cycle counts.
- Ensure all materials are handled safely and stored appropriately.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and free from hazards.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies, including proper use of PPE.
- Prepare materials for shipment, ensuring proper packaging and labeling.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, bending, and significant manual Lifting of materials up to 70 pounds.
- Proficiency in operating various material handling equipment (forklift certification is a plus).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong commitment to safety.
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions precisely.
- Knowledge of and adherence to safety procedures, including the use of PPE.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
