We are seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist for our Dallas, Texas warehouse. This pivotal role ensures the accuracy and efficiency of our inventory management systems, directly impacting our logistics operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring stock levels, conducting regular audits, identifying and resolving discrepancies, and implementing strategies to optimize inventory. A keen eye for detail, strong analytical abilities, and a commitment to Safety are essential. You will work closely with warehouse and logistics teams to maintain optimal inventory health.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain accurate inventory records within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory verifications.
- Investigate root causes of inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and execute strategies to reduce inventory loss, damage, and obsolescence.
- Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to forecast demand and manage stock levels effectively.
- Ensure proper storage conditions and handling procedures are followed to preserve inventory integrity.
- Monitor warehouse product flow and identify areas for process improvement.
- Adhere to all Safety regulations, including the correct use of PPE.
- Prepare and distribute inventory reports to relevant stakeholders.
- Assist with tasks requiring moderate Lifting of inventory items.
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications or associate's degree preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a related logistics role.
- Proficiency with WMS software and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Knowledge of general logistics and supply chain principles.
- Understanding of warehouse Safety protocols.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Capability to perform moderate Lifting, up to 45 lbs.
