We have an exciting opportunity for an Order Picker in Baltimore, Maryland! As an integral part of our warehouse operations, you will be responsible for accurately selecting and preparing orders for shipment. This role demands attention to detail, efficiency, and a commitment to quality. You will work in a fast-paced logistics environment, ensuring that our customers receive their products correctly and on time. We are looking for individuals who are reliable, energetic, and possess the physical capability to handle the demands of the job, including frequent lifting. If you are a team player and take pride in your work, we want to hear from you. Comprehensive training on our picking systems and safety procedures will be provided. A strong emphasis is placed on workplace safety, and adherence to all guidelines, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is mandatory. This position is key to maintaining customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on order requirements.
- Use handheld scanners or pick lists to navigate and select products.
- Verify item numbers and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Package picked items securely for shipment.
- Operate manual and electric pallet jacks safely.
- Stage picked orders for consolidation and shipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation.
- Comply with all company safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Meet daily productivity targets for order picking.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous warehouse or order picking experience is preferred. Must be able to perform repetitive lifting up to 40 lbs. Strong attention to detail and accuracy are essential. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Understanding of basic logistics principles is helpful. Commitment to safety and proper use of PPE.
