Overview
The Christie NHS Foundation Trust, a world-renowned cancer centre, are seeking an experienced and skilled Cyber Security Analyst (Band 6) to work with us. The role focuses on protecting our digital infrastructure and data, administering and optimising our cyber security toolset, and ensuring compliance with NHS guidelines. Responsibilities
Administer and optimise our cyber security toolset, including antivirus solutions, vulnerability scanners, and threat protection services, ensuring configurations follow best practices and NHS guidelines. Continuous monitoring of the Trust’s cyber and security systems; detect, analyse, and respond to cyber security incidents or breaches. Manage the incident response process, document actions taken, and report findings to minimise impact on operations. Assess and manage cyber security risks across IT systems; ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements such as GDPR. CAF/DSPT. Maintain the Trust's risk register and prepare comprehensive reports on cyber security posture. Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to raise awareness about cyber security issues and strategies. Provide regular updates to senior management and non-technical staff on critical security matters and preventive measures. Collaborate with Digital Services teams to design and implement system enhancements that strengthen cyber security defences. Participate in security projects aligned with strategic goals and IT infrastructure developments. Involve in internal and external audits related to IT security to ensure adherence to security policies and procedures. Team and culture
