Packaging Operator 2nd Shift

Schedule: Monday-Friday 12:45PM-8:45PM

Reporting to the Packaging Manager, the Packaging Operator is primarily responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of assigned production equipment and processes. 

Job Responsibilities: 

• Operators and observes packaging equipment to ensure product quality and conformity in order to meet customer standards and specifications. 

• Responsible for applying appropriate labels, lot codes and dates on packaging. 

• Responsible for line changes, flavor changes and packaging changes. 

• Run standup forklift. 

• Responsible for reporting unsafe conditions to manager along with and food safety violations. 

• Records data collection materials. 

• Stop or reset machine when a malfunction occurs, clear machine jams and report malfunction of machine and/or robot. 

• Comply with HACCP and GMP protocols for production.  

• Follow established programs, policies and practices to produce safe quality foods that meet regulatory and company requirements as trained. 

• Maintain safe work practices at all times. 

• Ensure good housekeeping in packaging area. 

• Perform monthly/weekly preventative maintenance program. 

• Demonstrate high degree of ownership for product quality, understanding of production schedules and work instructions. 

• Perform other tasks as negotiated with supervisor.
