Screen Printing Press Operator
Location: Bozeman, MT
Job Type: Part-time, 20-40 hours/week
Reports To: Project Manager
Compensation: DOE, starting at $25/hr
Start Date: January 26th, 2026
Position Summary
As a Screen Printing Press Operator, you'll be hands-on in the production process—managing everything from setup to cleanup. You'll operate a manual press to create high-quality prints on apparel and textiles. This role requires attention to detail, efficiency, and pride in producing clean, brand-aligned prints. You'll collaborate with the production team to meet deadlines, troubleshoot issues, and keep the print area clean and organized.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes ownership of the quality of their output. At least 2 years of screen printing experience or completion of a relevant college-level screen printing course is preferred.

Core Responsibilities
Print Operation
- Operate manual screen printing press to complete orders accurately and efficiently
- Set up screens, align artwork, and load garments
- Perform test prints to ensure alignment and color accuracy
- Maintain consistent ink coverage and pressure for high-quality results
Maintenance & Troubleshooting
- Perform daily and weekly press maintenance
- Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and communicate larger problems to management
- Clean screens, squeegees, platens, and work surfaces after each job
Production Support & Communication
- Use Trello and Printavo to track print tasks, timelines, and job updates
- Communicate material shortages, screen issues, or order discrepancies
- Follow production timelines and collaborate with the team to meet deadlines
Quality Control
- Conduct visual quality checks for ink opacity, registration, and garment cleanliness
- Flag and reprint defective products as needed
- Ensure all finished items meet brand standards before passing to fulfillment
Shop Standards
- Follow all safety protocols and cleanliness expectations
- Maintain a tidy print station and uphold systems that keep production efficient

Work Schedule & Hours
- Monday - Friday 8:00am-4:00pm (subject to change based on incoming projects and workload).
