If you are a Design Engineer professional looking for an exciting opportunity, Ideal Steel in Broussard, Louisiana, has a phenomenal opportunity for you! This role is responsible for providing accurate and complete designs in a timely manner while following standard company practices and procedures. This position is also responsible for final design and making sure all codes and loads have been evaluated. This is a sales support position, helping our sales/detailing departments within commercial, heavy industrial, conventional and hybrid projects.

As a Design Engineer, You Will:
Possess strong attention to detail. Have the ability to work independently or in a team atmosphere. Possess strong written and verbal communications skills. Have a willingness to work extra hours as required by business needs. Demonstrate the desire and initiative for personal and professional growth. Required Education, Experience & Skills:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or engineering technology 3 years of experience with commercial manufacturing design Must have PE Professional effective listening and communication skills Regular and predictable attendance required Proficient in clearly and efficiently deciphering documents and information received Ability to read and understand architectural and structural drawings Legal work authorization in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this role Position is onsite
