Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Customer Service Representative to join our team. This role is essential in providing exceptional support to our clients while ensuring the well-being of the animals in our care. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background knowledge in veterinary services, animal care, and customer relations, enabling them to effectively address client inquiries and concerns.

Tentative Schedule is 32-36hrs a week, working full shifts (~7:30am-5:15pm with lunch break) 4 days a week between Monday and Friday. If you CANNOT commit to those shift hours, please DO NOT apply. This will be the first question I ask before an invitation for an interview. If the answer is "I can be there at 8am" or "I can be there as soon as I drop my kids off at 8:30" or "I can be there in the mornings, but would have to leave by 4pm in the afternoons" then please do not apply. We're only interested in applicants that can commit to the full shift hours.

Responsibilities

  • Provide outstanding customer service by addressing client inquiries regarding services, appointments, and animal care.
  • Check-in, check-out clients, process payments, prepare daily batch reports, reconcile cashbox.
  • Utilize veterinary terminology to communicate effectively with clients about their pets' health and needs.
  • Assist with animal restraint and handling when needed
  • Maintain a clean and organized environment, adhering to aseptic techniques when necessary.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure the highest standards of pet care and customer satisfaction.
  • Stay informed about animal husbandry practices and veterinary critical care procedures to provide accurate information to clients.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a veterinary setting or related field is preferred.
  • Experience with Avimark practice management software is preferred, applicants that can demonstrate current working knowledge of Avimark during their interview will automatically receive a $1.50 raise at their hiring date.
  • Familiarity with animal anatomy, handling techniques, and veterinary terminology is essential.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment, also the ability to stay busy and find tasks to do during the occasional slow times.
  • A genuine passion for animal welfare and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
  • Professionalism and integrity. At times, when vet is scheduled off, the CSR maybe the only person in the clinic. It is vitally important that the clinic be run with the same standard of professionalism as any other day. This requires a special degree of integrity that not everyone possesses.
  • Punctuality. Please pay close attention to the shift hours for this position ~7:30am to ~5:15pm. If you CANNOT commit to these hours please DO NOT apply.

Benefits

  • 80hrs of Paid-time off earned 12 months from hiring date and resets yearly with an extra 8hrs for each additional year worked. For example: 6 month employee, no PTO; 12 month employee, 80hrs PTO; 24 month employee, 88hrs PTO.
  • Health/Dental/Vision Insurance becomes available to full-time employees after 90 days of full time. Employee is responsible for 20% of Health insurance cost and 50% of dental/vision costs.
