Job Overview
Join our dynamic Optical team as an Entry Level Optician, where you'll play a vital role in delivering exceptional eye care and customer service. Experience is a plus but not required. This entry-level position offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in optical dispensing, and patient interaction. You'll assist with frame selection, lens fitting, and maintaining accurate medical records. We provide training and certification. Duties
- Directly greet patients and assist them in selecting eyewear that suits their style and vision needs
- Entering patient information and orders into EHR computer system.
- Educate products available for patients' prescription and benefits of product to patients.
- Verifying insurance plans and going over charges with patients.
- Help with laboratory tasks such as, frame adjustments, and quality control checks
- Operate electronic medical record (EMR) systems like Epic to document patient interactions accurately
- Support retail sales efforts by promoting eyewear products and accessories to enhance customer satisfaction
- Update patients on their orders.
Skills
- Experience or interest in retail sales, including retail math for transactions and inventory management
- Understanding of EMR systems is a plus but not required.
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations including pediatrics and senior care clients
- Laboratory experience related to optical work or lab procedures is a plus but not required.
- Strong organizational skills are important.
- Willingness to learn about medical terminology, clinic procedures, and optical products in a fast-paced environment
