Join us The Certified Medication Assistant (CMA) / Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is responsible for providing high-quality resident care in alignment with the organization's mission, values, and regulatory requirements. This dual-certified role ensures the safe and accurate administration of medications under the direction of a nurse, while also providing direct, hands-on support with activities of daily living to promote dignity, independence, and overall well-being. The CMA/CNA collaborates closely with nursing and caregiving teams to support a person-centered care environment and ensure residents attain or maintain the highest possible physical, mental, and emotional health. This role functions as both a Certified Nursing Assistant and a Certified Medication Aide in accordance with applicable state regulations.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Under the supervision of the Nurse, passes medication and provides treatments according to physician's orders and in accordance with facility policy. Provides, completes and documents as assigned timely and accurately.
  • Maintain resident rooms in a clean and orderly manner by providing light housekeeping, changing linen, making beds, putting away clothing and personal effects, tidying bedside table, shelves, closets, and cleaning bathrooms, etc.
  • Provide direct care and assistance with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, mobility, and feeding.
  • Position is service in nature; in performance of duties the resident care assistant is entrusted to assist residents with basic personal care according to procedures and daily assignment.
