The role of the veterinary receptionist is to provide an exceptional standard of care for all patients and clients through offering a friendly greeting by phone and in person. Receptionists are the first point of contact for clients utilizing the services of Allen Animal Clinic. It is the responsibility of the receptionist to schedule appropriately over the phone, greet all clients that enter, and ensure clients and patients are comfortable in a clean lobby area. Perform all designated call back and reminder call per veterinarian's request. Aid in achieving greater efficiency by ensuring the front office moves quickly, so clients and patients are not waiting. Must maintain strict confidentiality regarding clients and patients for whom the practice provides veterinary services at all times. Host a significant role in communicating with and educating clients about pet health and well-being.
A minimum of 2 years' experience in an actively working technical or reception role within a veterinary setting is preferred.

Our technical team candidates will be highly skilled in-patient care including: providing clients with education on medical and surgical procedures; collecting patient vitals; catheter placement, sample collection for blood; monitoring and performing treatments for hospitalized patients; monitoring anesthesia, and many other tasks dedicated to the technical team.
Applicants MUST be able to:
- Communicate well with clients, showing compassion and support for their pets
- Check patients into rooms, take patient history, enter current medications, and get patient vitals
- Must be comfortable around small and large animals
- Answer phones, book appointments, assist clients with information and questions
Required:
- Basic computer and phone skills
Competitive compensation offered based on the candidate's technical working experience. Benefits for full-time employees include scrub allowance, personal pet care discounts, medical group insurance options, CE allowance if applicable and after one year of employment paid time off, holidays and more.
We are located in Allen, TX and are open Monday thru Friday 8am-6pm with a lunch break from 12pm-1pm. Each employee has one day off during the week and some Saturday mornings from 8am-12pm.
