Job Description And Duties
Hybrid Telework Opportunity
Under direction from the HCAI Chief Risk Management Officer, and in coordination with the HCAI Privacy Officer, the Privacy Training Specialist develops, delivers, assesses, and enhances Privacy program training content for HCAI consistent with federal/state privacy laws and regulations, such as (but not limited to) the Federal Privacy Act and the California Information Practices Act. The incumbent will provide general (all staff) and specific (role-based) training content to all levels of management and staff in the Department. In addition, this position is responsible for developing training assessments to assist the Privacy program with continuous improvement activities and learner performance metrics.
The Privacy Training Specialist assists with the production of training materials. This may include the development of multimedia, such as videos, audio recordings, infographics, and mixed web content. The incumbent must possess strong written and verbal skills.
This is a public-speaking role. The incumbent is expected to be an engaging teacher-facilitator with a high degree of professional decorum in group settings. The incumbent is also expected to seek feedback from learners and adjust their engagement techniques in order to achieve a high degree of learner satisfaction.
The Privacy Training Specialist assists learners outside of training settings with questions related to correct privacy practices and procedures, such as by responding to calls or emails. The incumbent may be called upon to assist with general Privacy program needs as required.
