Restaurant and Lane Server

We are looking for a restaurant and bowling lane server who can efficiently and effectively provide great guest service, get to know our wonderful regulars, and allow our guests to relax and enjoy their time with us. We are a 12-lane bowling center, with a large bar top, 30 tables, a menu that provides something for everyone, and we have a passionate base of regular guests

Responsibilities:

• Provide courteous, professional, and personalized service
• Warmly greet each guest that is seated in your area – and beyond
• Make sure each guest has a menu, beer list, and address any questions they may have
• Take each guest's food and bar orders
• Deliver and properly present all food and beverages
• Keep assigned areas clean and empty of used glasses and plates
• Thank everyone for visiting and welcome them to join us again

Want to step up?

• Up-sell guest food and beverage orders
• Constantly look for service opportunities
• Assist guests with scoring or bowling needs if necessary – know pricing, specials, and all offerings
• Respond to and resolve guest complaints, involving the Manager on Duty when necessary – you have full empowerment to do what YOU feel is right

Be knowledgeable

• Know the food and beverage menu and stay updated on changes
• Maintain a strong working knowledge of the POS system and stay current with training updates
• Remain knowledgeable about center events so you can properly respond to guest inquiries

Responsible service

• Check identification of guests to make sure they meet age requirements for purchase of alcohol
• Monitor guest drinking patterns
• Meet the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to regulatory policies. Work hard, play hard. We get it. Just don't be weird about it.

What this looks like

REQUIRED

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Minimum one-year experience in a serving or related role. OK… preferred… but willing to train the right person.
• Must have customer service experience.
• Must have cash handling experience.
• Positive, upbeat demeanor, and outgoing personality.
• Strong guest service, teamwork, and interpersonal skills. We all truly work as a team. Basically, everyone does everything. That being said, we acknowledge those that go above and beyond.

PREFERRED

• Bartending experience
• High School Diploma
• Responsible Alcohol Training (will be needed to bartend)
• ServSafe certified or able to complete certification within 60 days of hire
