Position Overview

Cutting Edge Lawn Service, LLC is an award-winning residential and commercial design-build landscape company. We are seeking an experienced Landscape Superintendent to provide on-site leadership, manage crews and projects, and ensure consistent, high-quality execution.

This is a salaried, career-level leadership position, not an hourly foreman role. The Landscape Superintendent is responsible for overseeing daily operations in the field, managing people and processes, and serving as the company's primary representative on job sites.

Key Responsibilities

Field Leadership & Project Execution

• Lead and manage multiple landscape crews on residential and commercial projects
• Oversee projects from site preparation through final completion
• Ensure work is completed according to plans, contracts, quality standards, and timelines
• Coordinate equipment, materials, and labor for daily and long-term project needs
• Operate and oversee trucks, trailers, and construction equipment

Crew Management & Safety

• Train, coach, and develop crew members
• Enforce job-site safety policies and equipment compliance
• Hold team members accountable for performance and professionalism
• Provide regular feedback to leadership regarding crew performance and needs

Client & Stakeholder Communication

• Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for clients
• Conduct walk-throughs, provide progress updates, and address questions or concerns
• Coordinate with office staff, vendors, subcontractors, and designers as needed
• Represent the company professionally at all times

Project & Budget Management

• Read and interpret landscape plans, contracts, and specifications
• Plan work sequences and execution strategies
• Track labor hours, materials, and equipment usage
• Identify, communicate, and assist with change orders
• Communicate daily with leadership regarding progress, issues, and resource needs

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a landscape superintendent, foreman, or construction field leader
• Proven ability to lead crews and manage job sites
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Industry Knowledge & Skills

• Landscape construction and installation
• Hardscape installation (patios, walkways, retaining walls, driveways)
• Proper planting techniques for trees, shrubs, sod, and seasonal materials
• Proper pruning techniques
• Basic irrigation installation and service knowledge
• General knowledge of plant materials common to southern landscapes

Preferred Qualifications

• Conversational or fluent Spanish (strongly preferred)
• Degree in landscape architecture, construction management, or related field
• Experience managing complex residential and/or commercial projects
• Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills
