Job Summary

In this role, the Project Coordinator will oversee the entire project lifecycle within a metal fabrication environment, from the time a job is released by estimating through final fabrication, shipping, and delivery. This position requires close coordination with welding, fabrication, aluminum, plasma table, and production teams, while managing multiple projects simultaneously. The Project Coordinator will work closely with estimating and production to schedule work efficiently, ensure accuracy, and keep projects moving smoothly through the shop.

The role requires strong communication, attention to detail, coordination, and problem-solving skills to maintain customer satisfaction and keep production running efficiently. The Project Coordinator must be responsive, well organized, and proactive in managing tasks and resolving issues as they arise.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Sales, Estimating, Production, Welding, Fabrication, Plasma Table, and Dispatch teams to effectively schedule and coordinate jobs.
  • Assume ownership of projects once a Purchase Order (PO) is received, scheduling work into production and managing the job through fabrication, welding, finishing, and shipping.
  • Ensure drawings are approved and production-ready, coordinating with estimating and CAD for special or revised drawings required for fabricated, welded, or plasma-cut components.
  • Review and maintain pricing accuracy by matching estimates, POs, and job details, and coordinate with accounting to ensure correct billing and invoicing.
  • Communicate with customers regarding order details, changes, corrections, or returns, and follow through to ensure all issues are resolved completely.
  • Review Purchase Orders, customer information, pricing, materials, and fabrication specifications to ensure all required details are accurately entered into Titan prior to production.
  • Work with estimating and customers to resolve missing or conflicting information before fabrication begins.
  • Schedule jobs in the correct sequence to support efficient fabrication flow, including requesting the purchase of raw materials and components to avoid production delays.
  • Ensure completed jobs are properly staged, picked, and placed on the dispatch board within required timelines.
  • Review shipping methods to determine the most efficient and cost-effective delivery option, including full truckload, hot shot, or partial loads, and ensure delivery charges are added and communicated to the customer when applicable.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the management team.

This role requires attention to detail, responsiveness, and the ability to proactively manage multiple fabrication projects while maintaining customer satisfaction and keeping production on schedule.

Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
