Job Description
Job Title: Pharmacy Technician
Reports To: Pharmacy Technician Supervisor
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Job Function: Non-Clinical
Classification: Regular, Full-time
Schedule: Monday – Friday 1.0 FTE
8:30am - 5:00pm and 10am - 6:30pm varying shifts
Location: Onsite, position may be assigned to work at both IHC locations
SUMMARY: Under the direct supervision of the Pharmacist, performs assigned duties in support of the Pharmacy Department with an emphasis on accuracy, timeliness, and patient safety. Provides extraordinary care to patients and staff through friendly, caring, courteous, and professional services.

1. Assist with preparation, labeling and dispensing of medications and supplies in accordance with valid prescriptions.
2. Process records of medications and supplies dispensed to patients, computes applicable charges, submits insurance claims, and enters data in pharmacy computer program.
3. Obtain and update Medi-Cal, Medicare, and other insurance claims data regularly.
4. Calculate correct dosages, converting between metric and apothecary equivalents.
5. Organize and maintain pharmacy files, ensuring they remain updated and are easily accessible. Prepares and files daily records containing information on prescriptions prepared.
6. Ring up sales for prescription pick up, collect
